Online Business Success.
Simple. Real.

The road to success is rarely smooth in business, as it is in life. We all experience disappointing mistakes or discouraging curve balls..."humps," in other words. How we react to these humps (and learn from them) is what determines our level of success or failure.

Success is always a case of "slow-steady-sure wins the race." It's about being persistent. It's about having patience and faith in the process or journey.

How then do patience, faith, and persistence relate to your online business?

Life's a hump. Or more accurately "life has humps." Human relationships have humps.

Everything worth doing or having usually involves overcoming a hump or three.

Every business has humps, more than its fair share, it will seem. Humps can be anything from hard-to-make decisions, tough-to-beat doldrums, devastating unforeseen setbacks, careless accidents... just about anything that puts an obstruction between you and where you want to go.

So don't be surprised... Building an online business, like anything that is worthwhile, has humps.

The only thing you can absolutely count on is that humps will occur. How you deal with them determines the outcome of your business, your relationships... your life.

Only the "GRQ" (Get Rich Quick) industry can promise "no humps." However...

There is good news about humps...

Humps are merely hard, not impossible. Working to overcome "hard" is what life itself is all about, not just business.

Notice that word "Working?" Only one thing beats humps... Action.

Nothing happens unless you do something. Prioritize. Pick one thing to do "today." Then do it.

There are several possible humps in building an online business.

But ultimately you are the one who will take your business over the hump.

It's a fantastic feeling to get over the hump. It was hard work pushing that snowball up it, but it's a heck of a lot of fun building momentum and speed on the way down. Life on the other side of the hump is invigorated. You feel more energy and motivation at the exact moment you needed it, just when you were doubting if your online business was ever going to work. You now have that affirmation you need to triple your efforts.

Everything builds upon itself...  It all goes round and round, in an ever-growing swirl... that snowball almost (the "almost" is important) takes on a life of its own.

Speaking of life itself... how do you approach humps? The best approach is to expect them. Be an optimistic pessimist...

If you don't expect humps, your first reaction is going to be a great big negative -- you have to "get over that" before you can even deal with the hump. If you realize that problems are simply a natural part of the human condition, you'll be ready to get right to it and start solving immediately.

The key is to not just to expect humps, but to remember that it's just a hump, not an insurmountable mountain. All you have to do is solve it and keep moving forward.

Think of all the incredible humps the giant sea tortoise faces from birth until breeding. Think of the simple hump that a land tortoise faces to cross the road ("to get to the other side" of course). They just keep moving ahead, slow-steady-sure... until they get there.

Tortoise that hump.
